This agreement is made on ___________for the sale of one male/female English Bulldog from Shelby Powell and Scott Washburn of Berkshire Bulldogs and the buyer stated below.  This contract is non transferable.

Buyer agrees to pay the sale price of  $___________ for limited AKC registration. Total due at time of pick up is $___________.  Please note, a $500 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a puppy of your choice.  By making a deposit you understand that it is nonrefundable.  When we hold a puppy for you, it is taken off the market and therefore, prospective buyers are lost in connection with optimum purchase time of that particular puppy.  Paypal, Venmo or personal check is accepted for deposit. 

Your puppy is being sold with Limited AKC registration rights.  The buyer understands that limited registration means that the puppy cannot be bred or shown in AKC.  Additionally the puppy must be spayed or neutered within one year of the buyer taking possession of the puppy.  Proof of spay/neuter must be furnished to seller within one year.  Once proof of spay/neuter is furnished, AKC paperwork will be released to owner.

Buyer understands that the seller only furnishes the requirements for AKC registration.  It is the buyers responsibility to complete the required forms and pay for the actual AKC registration.

Changes in Living Situation

Your puppy will never end up in a shelter.  Buyer agrees that the puppy being purchased will never end up in one.  Buyer agrees that if there is a change in their living situation or they are unable to keep or properly care for the puppy, they will contact Berkshire Bulldogs immediately.  We will be able to help you place your puppy in a new home or possibly take the puppy back.  Buyer has read and completely understands this section.  Buyers initial ________________________________

Health Guarantee

The seller agrees to give a one year health guarantee, against major hereditary or congenital defects that would result in the death of the puppy.  Your new puppy comes with a one year health guarantee, vet checked, current vaccinations and dewormed.  All of our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health, free from visible signs of infection and contagious or communicable diseases when purchased.  We guarantee the puppy to be free of any life threatening congenital defects for one year from the date of birth.  A licensed veterinarian must examine your puppy within 3 days of delivery (unless previously discussed).   This exam must be met or guarantee is void.  If your puppy, in the opinion of both veterinarians (buyers & sellers) has any physical problems considered to be life threatening, we will provide you with a healthy replacement puppy of equal value from a future litter. We must be notified at once at the onset of a problem, in writing, with a report from the veterinarian.  If the puppy is returned to us, all shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.  To qualify for this guarantee, you must have kept the puppy under the care of a licensed veterinarian. The care must include all vaccinations recommended by the veterinarian.  Buyer must keep vet records on all care or guarantee will be void. Should the puppy die of a birth defect within one year, we will provide a replacement puppy.  To qualify for this guarantee, you must have kept the puppy under the care of a licensed veterinarian.   The care must include all vaccinations recommended by the veterinarian.  To make a claim, you must bring a signed certificate from the veterinarian stating the cause of death and a copy of all of your puppy’s health records.  This must include an autopsy and lab report. Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be from comparable bloodlines.  It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact parents of the original puppy.  However, it is our desire to please and will work with our buyers to ensure satisfaction.   No puppy shall be euthanized without sellers  knowledge and consent (except in extreme cases where humane treatment requires immediate attention).

If the purchaser decides not to return a puppy that has a problem that is covered by our guarantee, this means you forfeit the guarantee.   We may reimburse a portion of the purchase price allowing you to keep the puppy.  This will be at our discretion.  This amount will not exceed one third of the purchase price.

NOTE: There is NO guarantee against hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, parasites, parvo, bacterial or viral infections.  There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, prolapse, cherry eye, other eye issues and demodectic mange that are nt covered by this guarantee.  No joint problems are covered: this includes hips, knees and other joints.

Buyer must research the breed and understand that the confirmation of the breed invites certain problems.  Short stocky builds promotes these joint problems.  The wrinkles in the skin promote irritation problems.  Winkles may also promote eye problems.  Bulldogs are also prone to inverted tails and tail pockets which may require amputation or simply additional care.  None of these are covered.  An overweight dog can also lead to health issues.

Buyer is aware that these breeds are prone to heat stroke and will be responsible to provide an environment that is healthy for their puppy.

All vet charges incurred by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and will under no circumstances be paid by us.

Berkshire Bulldogs agrees to take back any dog/puppy (with all necessary paperwork) at any time after warranty expires, at no cost to Berkshire Bulldogs, if the new owner is unable to keep it.  This will insure that the dog/puppy’s future welfare is not jeopardized by being in a home where it is not wanted or placed in a shelter.

Any dispute or litigation concerning this health guarantee that cannot be settled by Berkshire Bulldogs and new owner must be settled in Berkshire County, MA.  This is only to protect us against fraud and con artists.

Our puppies are sold as PET QUALITY puppies.  We do not guarantee your puppy to be able to sire or whelp puppies.  There is no guarantee on the color or size of this puppy now or as an adult.

Please do not take your puppy into public places unless absolutely necessary, until they have had all of their vaccinations to ensure immunity against disease.

Thank you for purchasing a puppy from us.  It is our desire that you and your new bulldog puppy will spend many years of companionship together.
